Speaker Bio
Alex is a passionate entrepreneur with a focus on last-mile solutions for enterprise brands. Since 2003, he has founded 3 venture-backed technology companies that assist retail and restaurant brands to deeply connect with local communities and drive traffic into their stores. To date, his products have been adopted by more than 25,000 branded retail locations.
Alex is currently the Founder and CEO of Field Day, a software-enabled marketplace of community ambassadors that provides brands with the data, tools and last-mile talent resources needed to activate a grassroots marketing campaign anywhere, anytime in the US.
Prior to Field Day, Alex successfully launched and grew two companies with a focus on the enterprise-local sector. His first was Ripple TV, a venture-backed firm providing multi-unit brands in-store TV programing customized with local content. Ripple TV was acquired by TargetCast Networks (now part of Brite Media Group), allowing Alex to then launch Circle Street, the first local-mobile media subscription service, enabling brands to continuously deliver the right campaign to the right local audiences at the right time. Circle Street was acquired by Valassis, the country’s largest localized advertising company. Circle Street is now branded Valassis Digital and is successfully helping brands deliver local same-store-sales results with personalized mobile ads.
Alex graduated from University of Arizona and resides in Venice Beach, California.
