CaterUp 2020 Terms and Conditions
Last Modified: November 13, 2019
We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for CaterUp 2020. For complete details on the terms that apply to registration and other important details, please read through the below.
Plans change. We understand. Here’s our policy on cancellations and refunds:
If you cancel by December 31, 2019, you’ll get a full refund of the amount paid.
If you cancel from January 1, 2020 through February 22, 2020, you’ll get a 25% refund of the amount paid.
After February 22, 2020 we will not provide a refund (regardless of whether or not you attend CaterUp 2020). Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org about transferring your registration to a colleague.
To cancel your registration (and get your refund, if applicable), you will need to notify us in writing at email@example.com.
If you’re entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid for the registration(s) you cancel and will be refunded to your original payment method – we don’t issue checks for refunds. These cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason that you cancel (even if you, unfortunately, need to cancel for personal reasons, weather conditions or other stuff that’s beyond your control).
Please keep in mind that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.
You also have the option of transferring your pass to another person if your plans change. Passes can be transferred through April 22, 2020.
To transfer your pass to someone else, you will need to notify us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org on or before April 22, 2020. The notification must come from the original purchaser’s email address.
Please keep in mind that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for transferring your own hotel and travel reservations.
We may share your registration data with our vendors in order to provide event information and help improve your experience at CaterUp 2020. For example, if we offer a mobile app, we reserve the right to make your data available to the mobile app provider so it’s accessible through the app. We may also share your registration data with providers related to CaterUp 2020, like hotels, and registration service providers. By providing your registration data to us, you grant us permission to do these things.
What we will not do is sell, rent, or give your contact information to third parties, including our sponsors. We will provide your name, company, and job title to our sponsors (but, again, no contact information). We may also use your company and job title in promotional materials for the conference. By providing your registration data to us, you grant us permission to do these things.
You may have the option of sharing your information (such as name, company, and job title) with other attendees through our mobile app or other online communities. You may also choose to provide your information to sponsors at the event. The important point here is that you will have control over which information is shared and you can choose to skip out on sharing if you prefer. If you believe a sponsor or other attendee has collected your information without your consent, please inform us immediately.
BEHAVIOR AND CONTENT
If we (in our sole discretion), determine that you are behaving in a manner that is - or could be - disruptive to the event or other attendees we reserve the right to refuse to admit you, or to expel you from CaterUp. If we do, you aren’t entitled to any form of refund or compensation.
You’re invited—and indeed, encouraged—to meet and visit with all of the awesome companies who will be joining us as official sponsors at CaterUp 2020. Remember, though, that “suitcasing” or “outboarding” is strictly prohibited at CaterUp 2020.
The views or opinions expressed by any event attendee, speaker or sponsor are not necessarily ezCater’s views or opinions. All event attendees, speakers, and sponsors are responsible for their own content (including presentations, marketing collateral, advertising and online Web content). You are not allowed to use any content that infringes another party’s intellectual property rights, is harassing, misleading, or unlawful.
We don’t want confusion about our event, so you agree that you won’t host competing events during CaterUp 2020.
You’ll need to wear your badge at all times when you’re at CaterUp 2020.
To pick up your badge, all registration fees must be paid in full and you’ll need to show a government-issued form of photo ID. Individuals must pick up their own badge.
Only you can use your badge, meaning you can’t share it, give it, or sell it to anyone else once it’s been printed. We reserve the right to revoke any badges that we determine are being used by someone other than the registrant whose name appears on it. If we revoke your badge, you aren’t entitled to any form of refund or compensation.
If your badge is lost or destroyed, we will replace it.
Attendees must be at least 21 years of age to attend CaterUp 2020.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDING
Unless we notify you otherwise, you’re permitted to take photos, videos, or audio recordings (collectively, “recordings”) at CaterUp 2020, as long as you comply with the following terms.
These recordings might include content or material that is protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other rights which we own or license. So, other than for your personal use, you may not copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute the recordings without our written permission.
By completing your registration, you agree that you won’t use any recordings (1) in a way that is misleading or disparaging, (2) in a way that implies you own any content of the recordings that isn’t actually yours, (3) for commercial purposes (for example, you can’t sell them), or in a way that implies that we endorse, sponsor or approve of your business, services or products, or (4) in violation of applicable law or in connection with an obscene, indecent, or unlawful topic or material. If we request that you discontinue use of any recordings, you will immediately comply with our request. And of course, if we do notify you that recordings aren’t allowed, then you agree that you won’t take any recordings.
By attending CaterUp 2020 and related events, you consent to having your image, voice, likeness, presentation and/or other copyrightable material recorded, including but not limited to video, audio, and still photography (“CaterUp Recordings”). We reserve the right to use, and allow our representatives and licensees to use, CaterUp Recordings in any and all media without giving you notice or any compensation. We might use them, for example, in our press releases, marketing materials, or other publications, including social media. You release us and our representatives and licensees from any liability arising out of the use of CaterUp Recordings described in this paragraph.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
We want everyone to be safe at CaterUp 2020, and we’re guessing you do too. By attending CaterUp 2020 you agree that you won’t bring anything to CaterUp 2020 that could cause a safety hazard.
AGENDA AND LIABILITY
We might modify the agenda, which could include a change in speakers or the cancellation of certain sessions. We can’t promise the attendance of any speaker, entertainer, or presenter and won’t refund your registration or provide any other compensation based on changes to the agenda. We also can’t guarantee admission to any certain session, since all sessions are subject to capacity limits and availability.
CaterUp 2020 is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. If we are determined to have any liability to you, you agree our aggregate liability will be limited in all cases to the amount of your registration fee.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you at CaterUp 2020!
